Featuring Katy Day from Happy Day Designs.....

About Katy Day........

'Happy Day Designs' began in August 2005 after the gift of a basic jewellery kit and glass beads from her husband, Katy started a passion for designing and making a wide range of jewellery. She studied for a Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design back in her youth and then completed a Teaching Degree, specialising in Art and English. Katy taught for 8 years before leaving to have children and now works from home so she can spend as much time with them as possible.

Based on the borders of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Katy sells the majority of her work through jewellery parties in the area but can also be found at craft shows and Indulgence evenings in the local area.
Inspirations...

Katy says, "I have always loved costume jewellery...the colours, the designs, the sparkle! My inspiration comes from a wide range of things- colour, what's in the shops, the countryside (I have a recent range which includes butterfly prints) and often I order beads that fascinate me and the inspiration for a piece comes from that!".

Best sellers...

"My lariats, as they can be worn two different ways and are colourful, and my daisy necklaces, either on cord or incorporated into something more dressy."

More than a mama...

"I will have my full range of jewellery at the fayres, plus some 'one off' designs, some sale items and cards (including packs of handmade Christmas cards at £4.50 for 8)".

My website...

"You can find a selection of my jewellery at happydaydesigns.co.uk to buy, and every piece comes gift wrapped in hand printed tissue paper. In the Spring, the website will have a regular turnover of new items so keep an eye on it to grab a bargain or a really special piece!".

Thank you Katy, we look forward to seeing you at the More Than A Mama forthcoming fayres.

More Artist features on the way....

Love
x
