Introducing you to photographer, Richard Roscoe, one of our 'More Than A Papas'!
Richard worked in the software business for Californian companies for many (15) years, through redundancies and hiring sprees. After one redundancy too many he decided to do something he liked for a change.
Photography was something Richard had been very interested in for twenty odd years and with the support of his wife, he started to put plans in place to set up his new business. Richard constructed a dedicated studio, invested in lighting equipment, signed up for a course at the Open College of Arts and one year later it's all going very well. Richard is now a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.

Richard's wife, Lindsay, works in London, she has just returned to work after 4 months maternity leave - they have 3 children, William 5, Jamie 2 and our new addition, Sophie who is 4 months old. Richard fits his work around the school run, nursery run and the station runs!
Richard says, "Most of my customers are looking for contemporary family portraits, they tell me that they like the natural expressions and natural poses that they have seen in the gallery on my website. I get lots of newborn babies arriving with mum and dad - it's a special privilege to photograph these little cherubs. I'm mostly studio based, but I also do lifestyle shoots where I accompany clients to a wood, park or other location and take natural portraits and capture interactions and expressions as they happen."
Richard is also setting up the wedding side of his business, the photos here show a few examples of his style.....
Come and visit Richard Roscoe at the Bumps, Babes & Beyond Fayre, Harpenden Public Halls, on Thursday 24th September from 09.30am till noon. In the meantime, you can contact Richard via email at richard@richardroscoe.co.uk, visit his website or read his Blog.
